    Nissan's VQ35

i kno this is a crzy question 2 ask but would this engine work w/ 8G galants?

Funny I dreamt about it few nights ago but a 6G74 or a 6g75 swap seems more like an attainable goal IMO.

Wow, I find it insanely impossible to obtain that engine for 100 bucks! Even if it is from a junk yard. If you say they got it for that than you made a great find (dont know if its a possible swap though). And what the hell is a VQ35 nissan doin in the junkyard?

forget putting in in the Galant, get it, and sell it for $500. Than buy a proper 6G74.

the VQ35 is a very nice engine with an amazing sound. But the cost to fab up motor mounts and a custom bellhousing or adapter plate for exceeds the benefits (in my opinion).

6G74 or 6G75 swap is the way to go if you don't want to deal with going turbo.. or you could obviously go turbo with those too, but those swaps alone are fairly cheap as they are almost, if not completely directly swappable

depends on what your horsepower goals are.

    like someone stated before,

    what is your budget?
what everything really comes down to is how much money do you have to spend on the project right now, how much will you have in the future, and what amount of your income you are willing to throw at something like this

but for a 6G74 or 6G75 swap, you would not need the 5 speed. Right now I'm running the 6G74 on my stock automatic

no new wiring harness needed. Everything plugs right back up. I did pass inspection this past August, though they didn't know the car had an engine swap. The two engines are identical in appearance. As for the actual legalities, there are a lot of loopholes in the laws, but I am 50/50 on whether it is truly emissions legal or not
