Let's see how much we can get done today
Turbo Mustang of death
1991 Mustang LX 11.7@130 on street tires spinnin half track on only 10psi ~550rwhp
2000 Civic 17.4@79!!!
10.5:1 compression that's more than a lot of NA engines!! LOL
Yea.. Why are you running 10.5:1 compression?
Just means he has to run lower boost to make the same power a higher boosted/lower comp motor and watch tuning a lot more closely.
7g for life!

Something smell like a track car.!!!
Isn't an expensive option??? 105oct????
My Mk4 is like a Black Hole you enter in it and who the hell knows what'll happen next???
I sure don't, do you?
would running a thicker head gasket lower your comp.
yea it would lower compression but i dont want to do that anyways i want to run a high compression turbo motor cause if i have a turbo pipe pop off i can drive home lol. No this isnt going to be a track car im just trying out different things that most people wont attempt, I have confidence in my engine and my build to run it like that and make good power doing it.
my plans for next winter will make brix be shat!

Not trying to tell you bud and I haven't read the whole thread, but if you run that high of compression you will blow it up!!! Look at the GTS 3Gs. they run 10:1 compression and hate all SDS and Turbo set ups. Case and Point.... Crow and Ron (duhh001). Get that fucker down to 8:1. ;)
I believe those were 8g's which could be a little different.... I've been reading up on something like this and this fella dosen't look to have had a problem...

It seems if he tunes it correctly and uses the appropriate fuel it will be ok...

Like Seth said I can run high compression and lower boost and make the same power. Im currently looking into somethings to make it work right and e85 is becoming an option, just have to look at some flow chats and figure out how much fuel i will need. So this may turn into me running two 255 walbro fuel pumps on 1200 cc injectors, which would allow me to run e85.
105 octane is also an option but much more expensive in the long run, and i will not be able to drive the car on long trips because no one sells that high of octane, and since e85 is cheap its a good option I just need to educate myself on whats needed to run it.
10.5:1 compression ratio isn't a really high number for a boost application you will start running into more problems when you are reaching 12:1 or higher is where i see people running into a lot of problems with knocking.

and this may be my other option just looking up the positives and negatives of both and deciding from there.
there are a few ea5 stations by my house. but those are the options that im going through.

tuning has to be more on point with higher compression, it should hold
