I used the prep that looks like wet naps. It tape came loose from the glass not the plastic.
The biggest thing with using the 3m tape is using their surface prep. Body shop supply places sell it, its in a package like wet-naps. Its an adhesion promoter on what looks like a baby wipe, your supposed to clean the surface first, then use the wipe, then apply the tape.

I've replaced the tape on my EGR twice so far. I have the loctite adhesive tape on my mounts and 3m body moulding tape on the actual visor. If only we could drill into the glass I would. But I will most likely replace the tape again come spring.

My Mk4 is like a Black Hole you enter in it and who the hell knows what'll happen next???
I sure don't, do you?
I bought a low-profile jack lift but my svr4 sides still hits against it. I'm thinking of getting vr4 sides and going back to my vr-g lip. then it will be flush all around.

i say you get some planks of wood (or in my case, a sheet of sheetrock) and drive your front tires over the wood so that you have extra space to jack up the car.
Anyway, you can jack up your car using the front jacking point instead of using the sides
My car is too low for my jack and tow truck jacks. To jack it up front I go in the front wheel well there is a good spot like 5in behind the wheels.
The rear I just jack up by going under rear bumper.
P.S. guys this is what I am gonna be trying to fit in my fog housings next week
They look good I think and they look like they may fit decently after I dremel the back of the fog housing a bit.
I drive my car onto pieces of wood or used rotors at the shop, and just lift the car on the pinchwelds.
If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.
