wont idle when warm

So earlier this month I bought an 01 es V6. I had the check engine light come on with the 1603 code, Back-up battery circuit malfunction, about a week ago, and reset it. No other codes came up when I read the code. Since I have owned the car though, when I start the car up when the motor is warm it will not idle/run unless i give it some gas for about 30 seconds to a minute, then it is fine. It does not do this when the motor is cold. So my question is what could be causing this?

Not sure when the last tune up was done, and I plan on putting new plugs and wires on when it warms/dries up.

damm.that sucks, of the top of my head i wud think it to be an electrical issue,try a serch u might come up with sumthing or an idea where to start looking.gud luck.
