i was actually thinking of doing this w/ a mitsu logo but haven't figured out exactly what to use to make the clear diamonds.

You don't need clear diamonds.. U can use the stock ones and just put some white/red LED's behind them
and U get a nice red glow..
I did that to My front Diamonds.. Here's a Fuzzy Picture:
