    successful disc conversion

    thanks to parts received i was able to sucessfully do my disc conversion on my 8g. the only question i have is where can i find the correct e-brake cable???

    from what ive read, you can either go to the junkyard and get one from a v6 with discs, or you can dremel and cut where the cable goes into the assembely. Its all in the disc conversion thread in the how-to section

    the best place is the dealer the one in new hamshire is cheap same with shipping plus no tax its called fairfield in keene new hamshire the number 1-603-352-7700 thats where i get my dealer parts if needed ask for the parts department

    I think i dremeled mine works fine i use parking brake constantly never broke

    Dremel is the best way. i did mine that way long before I was member on TGC
    God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

    so u cut it and drill out the inside a lil bit

    you just expand the slid on the stock cable to accept the bigger clip and then drill out the backing plate to accept the stock cable
    God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

    like everyone said, dremeling the slit in the E-Brake cable is the best option. You don't have to take out the cable at all, just open the slit so it fits into the backing plate.



    doesn't fully fit...


    use dremel and drill to open the opening...

    quick question did you make the slit wider, and what were you dremeling on the cable itself??

    you make the slit wider to fit the C-clip so the E-brake won't slide out of the backing plate. You widen both slits (one on the backing plate, the other on the cable).
