    speedo in-op

    so driving home today i let off the throttle to stop at a light, the speedo jumped from 45 to 145 and then to zero and i was still moving approx. 40mph. later on the free way i noticed it does the same thing every time i let off the throttle and after a few seconds back on it the speedo reads correctly. any ideas? (A/C was on and turning it off made no difference. stereo was off, headlights were off, all other gauges work fine)

    The error code for vehicle speed sensor is 24. If you dont have it then most likely the gauge itself went bad or there faulty contacts on the back of the cluster where it goes in the harness connector. Or the screws that hold the gauge in place are also used for power supply and signal supply, so pop the cluster and inspect it. The screws are in the back of the cluster, theres like flexible circuit board that glued to the plastic. Also if you have installed the gauge overlays then there might be a problem with the needle itself - it might be sticking or it might have come off the shaft. Play with it and worst case scenario get a new cluster from the j/y. no more 150mph speedo for you

    I have no way to read the error code, cant find anyway to read the damn obd 1.5 thinking thats what it is (speed sensor) called oreilys and they said they had no speed sensor listed only abs sensors and they wanted like $350 each

    ok tested the CEL and got.
    12-Airflow sensor fault.
    13-Intake air temp sensor fault.
    25-Barometric (BARO) pressure sensor fault.

    is this all in the karman vortex?

    ok so I cleared the MAF codes, turns out when I had it out the other day making a bracket for the sr intake I forgot to plug it back in before i started it and caught it when it wouldn't idle and never reset the CEL.

    as for the speedo, would buying a 2g cluster and swapping the odometer/speedo assembly work or should i just bite the bullet and go with a different
    7g cluster
    ebay 7g

    or would the Diamante cluster fit, (swapping components in to 7g cluster) thinking this cause its something different
