Do you remember the wire colors for the original CAS on the galant? Mitch's Chilton manual is telling me Black for ground, Brown/Green for signal, and Black/Red for power. The Black/Red wire is carrying 12V and the Brown/Green is carrying 5V without the CAS even plugged in...?

How did you do the oil drain like like that? Is it a compression fitting? How did you mount it to the pan adapter? Its all looking really nice bro! Great job!

  7. #787
just a couple A/N fittings and a 1/4" npt to A/N 8 adapter then a A/N 8 to A/N 10 adapter lol lots of adapters but i like that its straight down and really short

are the wires hooked up to a power source? the 5V might be a reference signal from the PCM. Don't quote me though.

Hope this helps man. You will need a multimeter to check if the starter terminal wire is getting B+ voltage when the ignition is turned to start the car. If it isn't getting the voltage than you will need to follow the diagram and figure out where its cut/mis-wired.

All right so my fuel pump is bad lol my new one some how is just junk ordered a new one so hopefully i will get fuel.

Jumped the shift wires that make the computer see that its in park but the car will still not start, im wondering if my alarm is just mad at me right now or something thats keeping me from cranking the car over, i would just remove the alarm but then i can not lock or unlock my doors i need to get new locks but i would like to be able to still have my alarm UGH i hate this shit, any ideas let me know all my wiring is DONE just need the fuel pump and figure out why she wont crank errr.... O and the starter works when you jump the connections too...

when you turn the key do all the lights cycle on the dash? does the check engine light turn on? i rembmer way back when, it was said that you had to clear any codes from the ecu for first start up.

Log the DSm link and see whats up. You need to invert the CAS signal since youre using 1g CAS.

See if you get +12V power to all important sensors - CAS, CPS, Injectors, fuel pump, MPI relay, ECU.

There is a misfire CEL that prevents the car from being started, but the car will still crank over.

If the car is not cranking:

Take a wire from the + battery terminal and tap it to the + terminal on the starter, it should crank over. If it doesnt, your starter, or ground is bad.

If that works, take a multimeter to the small wire that clips onto the starter, have somebody try to crank the engine over, see what if any voltage you are getting from it.

If it is cranking, but not starting, then you need to check for spark and fuel.
