Does anyone here have one or had? Say a Brutus BXI-1208D? 1,200w RMS @ 1 ohm?

The Hifonics Brutus line is what it is hyped up to be in my opinion. Probably the only Hifonics I'd be buying. Buy a cleaner amplifier for the fronts, midrange, and midbass drivers.

2nd Gen Type R's 12" (the ones with the R in the center of the cone factory specs is 500w RMS, 3rd Gen Type R's (Little R in the Bottom of the cone specs say to take 600w RMS, They are known to take maybe 750w RMS each without a problem but that depends on your box etc., For 2 12" Type R's I would recommend the MB Quart DSC 1500.1 if yours are 4ohm DVC, its known to do rated. I recommend you doing a google search on the amps or asking at a car audio forum.

first you need to know of your running your 12's on solo amps or split bridging(1amp 2 speakers) and does you box have two seperate wire panels. are you using an upgraded secondary battery and or alternator, any caps on the lines what gauge wires what brand wires(yes it makes a diff)-(diff brands use diff strand counts) equalizer or sound. alpine 12 R's pass through bottom end mid bass up to middle end Low Bass so you might want to look into a non monoblock bass amp and put high freq filters on the line.
    Brutus BXI-1208D
    Type: Mono Block
    1-Ohm Power Rating 1x1200
    2-Ohm Power Rating 1x900
the 12 R's at 2x2ohm bridgable to 1ohm and 4x4ohmsbridgable to 2ohms are both rated at
    SPECIFICATIONS
    Power Handling
    CEA-2031 Power Rating: 600 Watts
    Power Range: 600 - 1800 Watts
    RMS Power Handling: 600 Watts
    Peak Power Handling: 1800 Watts
this means you putting 300 more rated power at all times in 2ohm mode and 600more at 1ohm mode
you cant run either speaker at 4ohms with the brutus amp or youll blow the amp and speakers. if you want help putting a set up together let me know and we can design one based off your budget

Don't worry about the amplifiers you buy being CEA complaint, that is industry fluff.

    thanks for more replys guys.
I kno how to wire em, there dual 2 ohms. I'll run em 1 ohm seperate channel on a hifoniccs.
And all my electricals are upgraded too.

ok so i typed out a big lone explanation for you but i fell asleep and lost it lol
    so heres the short version

with your dual 2 ohm speakers you only have two options of wiring .5 or 2 ohms
the hifonics amp will do 900 @2ohms so that would be 450 to each sub witch is decent you wont have to worry about blowing your subs
also at 2 ohms your amp will run cooler longer and have better efficiency

there are amps that do full power @2 ohms but they are not in the price range of the hifonics

also a class d amp or mono block amp only has one channel (i know hifonics has two sets of speaker outputs but they are connected inside still making one channel)

hyfonics is one of the best bangs for your buck it is all how you wire it and what kind of subs you are running. running @ 2ohm's with a pair of dual voice coil subs is one way to get the most power out of your amp. i have hyfonics amp on 2 15" solobaric L7's i set off car alarms all day long cant even turn it up all the way i hurts my ears

    You'd actually have .5ohm, 2ohm, and 8ohm.

You could even have a 4ohm load with a two channel bridged amplifier.
