What are the best bolt ons to use for the 4g64 galant engine to get the most horsepower???
So what should i do with it?
I would go turbo and 5 speed swap it is costly but it would be worth it in the long run. That's my plans once i finish collecting parts started turbo collecting sofar
why dont you just go with some stock evo 8 turbo parts and a 5 speed swap..there really is no gain on bolt ons with these cars unless you go big
So even if i get a bigger throttle body, bigger intake manifold, bigger exhaust manifold, better headers, an intake(maybe with a "Y" elbow to make a 2 in 1 intake) and exhaust system ..i wont get a good boost in horsepower???
Torque > HP

please tell me your joking

you'll never be satisfied w/ bolt on if your looking for power. they just look nicer than oem parts.

You know the "Performance Modifications" section is here for a reason. This forum has been here since like 2002/2003 (maybe even earlier?), so believe me, this stuff has been discussed before in this section.
what do you speak of with this 2 in 1 intake thingy?? never heard of it we dont have a intake manifold produced for our cars besides the outlander which is off another car
or somthingy like what the big V8s with the dual air inlets but they are mounted copltely different and need more air than our little 4 bangers
like this
similar to that^ hes talking about one big intake pipe maybe 3" coming down and turning in to a little (Y)with to air filters at the ends. man dont do it,your not going to be happy with results with any bolt ons unless you do what i told you.
Yes, Turbo or 5 speed!!!!! is the number one answer. If you want a lil kick without all that. Change pistons and camshaft, bigger injectors and stronger fuel pump. Outlander mani with a v6 diamante tb. Need Evo ECU to manage your extra fuel from injectors plus more. In my opinion.
What if i add an intake, OBX headers and a cat back exhaust too all of that you just mentioned...how many horses might i gain?
probably around 0 to 5 HP

look if your looking for quick boost for cheap then get some zex. youll prob blow your engine, but then you could have fun rebuiling it.

^ i dont think hes looking for an expensive turbo or 5 speed swap let along having to re do his entire motor after being blown.lol
To be honest when i did my headers and cat back system (had CAI already) I notice a slide increase in the engine performance. It has more throttle response after 2 gear +. also when it down shift to first it holds the gear longer "AT". HP gain around 10 average. Is not much is not like is going to put your head all the way in the back sit. I mean, you could do the mod if you not looking for a super car. Just to keep you happy with your mod and helps the engine breath better. In the future yeah save up little by little for a 5 speed and turbo if you want that extra bang.
