^hahaha... i say do the 6g75 but, fricken balance that out and machine it in a way so you can hit 12,000 rpm, lower the stroke, make it a nice big bore, and then Twin turbo it, oh and then have awd but make it electronic, meaning you could swap between rwd and awd... :) that would be the ultimate g, awd for the line, rwd for drifting..... !!!
who knows how that bolts up to anything though? Might as well just do an LS1 swap.. mmmm yummy
Only the nice imports run V8s, all others are garbage.
The Mitsubishi Proudia and Mitsubishi Dignity also ran the 6G72, so the engine mounts should match up just fine. Its physical size is also not that much larger than a 6G72, or 6G74/75. It also weights little more than 50lbs more. It should be very doable, especially if you relocate the battery, and wire tuck the engine bay to help free up needed space.
hm.. sounds interesting.. I don't know if I like a transverse mounted V8 though lol. dunno why
and galantman03, the Hyundai Genesis has a V8, at least I think they're coming out with one. It's going to be BAD ASS
Because they are a pain in the ass ;) I happen to own one, and it's no fun to work on.
S10 frame + Galant body = RWD made somewhat simple.
I once seen a 454 RWD Cavalier. It was on a shortened S10 frame of course, but from the looks of it, didn't appear too difficult (using that statement loosely depending on one's mechanical ability). The instrument panel was the only part needing modification to the interior besides the steering column and shifter assembly. Any takers?

The Hyundai Genesis Sedan is already out with a 4.6L V8 Tau Series engine. And it IS BAD ASS, I rented one in Florida a few months back, smooth, sounds mean, and is crazy on the highway.
The Hyundai Equus (upmarket from the Genesis), is already equipped with Hyundai's version of the Mitsubishi 8A80, a 4.5L V8. In theory, the Tau is derived from the 8A80.
No harder to change one extra spark plug after taking out the intake manifold.
if and when changing plugs. Everything is just cramped in there. Dave I'm sure you have worked on at least a few V8 SHOs and plenty of 4.6L Northstar engines. They are no fun.

Fock a Northstar, I hate those stupid engines. I had to pull the engine out just to replace the oil pan gasket on a 2001 Cadillac, what crack was that designer smoking when he drew the specs?
