That actually looks a little straighter, or it may just be me.....
Did you mod the GSX Driveshaft or is that another custom piece Driveshaft?
MORE PICTURES!
Awesome work.
If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.

I'd torn down the GSX shaft to make the last one. Thankfully I'd saved the other parts of it including the u-joint and the carrier bearing (go packrat!) This is the same rear section but with new pipe for the front section with the added u-joint and bearing. I'm betting the lengths are similar to a stock GSX shaft. If I were doing it again I could probably have set the carrier bearings in locations such that I'd have only needed to change one length instead of all three. The front bracket is in the same spot they used in a 2g GSX, ie. directly underneath the front rail the seats bolt onto. In the GSX they share the same spot welds everywhere except in the top of the tunnel.
The two new sections ran $150 plus $20/ea for three new u-joints for a total around $210.
I've been driving my '89 4Runner while the car was down. Got back in the G, hit the highway and went, "Holy shit this thing is fast!" Need to tune the off-boost performance though.
polishmafia, what do you want more pictures of?

And here are some more:
One of these will likely be going into a TGC Calendar. Any suggestions on which one?

Wow great job man, and awesome pictures

Here's something interesting. Look carefully at the rear wheel in this picture:
See how it has positive camber? With the car sitting still that wheel has slight negative camber. That is some serious bushing diflection right there! Those bushings are still stock. I've got the urethane sitting around but it hasn't gone in yet. You can see some diflection in other photos too. There's also a lot of acceleration squat in the rear of the car.

Awesome photography. Love seeing the G in action.
I wanna be a Billionaire... so freakin' bad...
Hi all. With summer break about to hit I'll be getting back to work on the G. Just three final exams to go (until fall).
I've got a few goodies going in this spring. Specifically, an 8" touch screen, a hacked apart laptop and a 300Wx4 amp. They'll be getting bluetooth, GPS and Ride Runner running on Win7. No more wishing I had the laptop with me to tune the car :D. I've also got some chassis bracing planned and may be building a new, family friendly exhaust.
I'll be sure to post up all the progress, power system diagrams etc. I think this will be a lot of fun!

Upgrading to Werewolf? I've been thinking about it. Having the cell tracing alone makes it seem worth the money.
Can't wait to see what you've got in store for this beast.

If I make enough play money this summer Werewolf would be awesome. Cell tracking would make tuning a whole lot easier. For now, if I can just get the carputer up and going that will be a big step in the right direction.

AWESOME! This is how people should build cars. I'm sick of seeing people buld cars then never drive them. Props to you dude!

I took my last final for the semester Thursday morning, installed the new amp in the car and got it wired to the speakers that afternoon. It sounds really good with my iPod hooked up to it.
So today I went to drive the car while listening to my iPod, got less than a mile from the house and the engine died. I pulled over to restart the car and the power relay for the fuel pump was clicking like mad. I disconnected the battery (love the relay I installed on it!), pulled the fuse on the power feed to the amp, turned the battery back on and tried again. The car cranks over fine, all the lights etc. work but it wont' start. I tried again and the machine gun clicking in the relay started again. I called my wife and she came home to help tow the car back to the house.
I'm thinking something bad happened to the ECU. The same relay goes crazy when the 1g ECU's have leaking capacitors. I'm charging up my Palm to see if it is sending any info to the logger. I'm not sure how anything would have happened. Maybe I had a short somewhere that sent current back through the ECU
