Try 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, which can be purchased at your local drug store. Use that and a pad of steel wool on the OUTSIDE of your windows.

If it was, I wouldn't recommend it to you. I'm not here to help you fuck up your car....It's fine on the outside. You don't want to use it on the inside because of the wiring on the rear window and especially if you have tint.

use 0000 grade steel wool. yea the steel wool is abrasive but not abrasive enough to cause major damage on the outside. it will help make the glass smoother. just make sure you use alot of fluid.

actually, i was one of the first people on TGC to use steel wool on their glass. i learned about it from a tip on tv show that taught you how to detail vintage cars.

o yea, if u have stickers. be careful around those, it will scratch it. same with tint and o yea, your car's finish. let the steel wool only touch glass. or you're asking for trouble.

Use steel wool. I learned that trick from Chip. He knows what he's talking about.

*grabs steel wool, runs out to the car*

my aftermarket windshield came with a shade band already. and i tired it, it doesn't come off. im not sure about other types of windshields but mine doesn't. ov course if your shade band is made outa window tint, then don't try it on there.

I wouldn't think so. The windshield is made of a piece of plastic sandwiched between 2 pieces of glass, and I think that the blue tinting is on the plastic rather than the glass.
