CAr problem check engine light came on

I went to the kwik kar oil change place this morning and had it looked at.
I have had the check engine light on for about a week now, anyway the guy there checked it and he said the problem was a 02 sensor heater circuit maffunction (Bank 1 sensor) I dont know what it means though,
Does anyone have had this problem before, if so what is it? how much will it cost?

    Thank you for ur time

If he diagnosed it correctly, it sounds like you have one of two things. Either your O2 sensor is shot and needs to be replaced, or you have a broken wire in the O2 sensor heater. The broken wire can be fixed. If the heater in the O2 sensor is bad, the whole sensor has to be replaced. Did you by any chance get the code number? that would help as we have the complete list of SES codes in the service manual.

    yeah

I think it is PO135: 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction ( Bank 1 Sensor)
Where is the sensor located at? And will anything get damaged if I drive it for a long period of time with out getting it fixed?
