Where did you find this thread and assume this is gonna work on a usdm 8g? The only person that tried to swap it to the usdm 8g was Mante but he gave up half way, then went the extra mile and imported an authentic 8g VR-4. But judging from your first post, this is your daily driver and assuming this swap is "a piece of cake" you will not go very far in this project. I could of just responded to usual bullshit "with money, anything is possible" phrase but if that was your case you'd probably surprised us with this project.

But there are many other engine swaps (4G63T, 6G74, 6G75) that many others before you have successfully accomplished. You should try that route. Less headaches , better results.

6G72 to 6G74 swap has been a common ground from here and even more so from the Eclipse site.

You vehicle has a 6g72 3.0L, not the same as the 6g72 3.0L in the 3000GT...don't think about the swap. The 3000 GT engine is 180 degrees off from the way ours is mounted.

If you want an easy swap, the 6g74 3.5L from the Diamante is easy and straight forward. If you want more power and better bang for the buck, look into the 3.8L 6g75 swap, Non-Mivec has, and still is proving more beneficial than the MIVEC version.

The stock transmission in your car will bolt to either 6g74 or 6g75, though if you truly want to make the most of it, swap over to the 5-Spd Manual transmission that many have done. You will easily see about 15whp gains just from that swap alone.

With either 6g74 or 6g75 Engine swap you will need to get it tuned, most have gone with an Emanage, but you have a flashable ECU that you can tune with EcuFlash. If you need any more details, just ask and I can certainly point you in the right direction and assist you more.
