nice! glad to see you're stayin in the game man!
Lets see I bought her for 11000 from carmax in 2004 and she only had 8600 miles! Then my plans were to tint, drop and throw some 18in Lorenzo lo-1, and dual out the exhaust....lol. My first mod was clearing the corners.
Shortly after that I met G-spot for the first time as well as others that no longer post on the site. This is when I got introduced to the local car scene. After a bunch of noob questions and countless searches I eventually changed by discs to drilled and slotted.
Next I was looking for some wheels and asked opinions from TGC and one of the members told me that one of the wheels I wanted was being sold on ebay. So I contacted the seller and drove to Austin to pick them up for 300.00! A couple of weeks later I wrapped them in Nitto 555s and painted my drums and calipers blue.
Then I installed some s7 gauges
Next I gathered with G-spot and a few other local members and did an engine cleaning and dress up. Also that same day we painted all trim pieces a gloss black and installed an ebay stb(not shown).
After getting so annoyed with the wheel gap and purchased some progress springs and installed them on my stock shocks with the assistance of G-spot and Jscout247. Around this time I also purchased and ebay cai and shortly retired it for an injen cai.
Now disaster strikes in the form of my ride being hit by a van.
Cosmetic damage included hood left headlight bumper cover and left fog light. Total estimate of repair 2700.00. A few hours after the accident I contacted Triggermuave about a complete old style jdm front end. He had bumper heads, fogs and tow cover waiting for me. I bought the upper grille from a TGC member and got a hood from Jsout247. The items from Japan came in 3 business days after payment to my surprise.
After being tired of bouncing around on my stock shocks I purchased some gr-2s and installed. A few years after this point I was losing interest in my ride and slowly vanishing from TGC and the car scene. Then some dumbass old man hits my shit in a parking lot and leaves the scene. I get married and go to South Beach for our honeymoon and it just so happened that when I flew over the gulf I flew over hurricane Ike. When I get back home to a city that was tortured by Ike I notice that the paint on my wheels was flaking away, but they were fine when I left. So at this point I am really disliking my ride. The following year my son is born and I am slowly gaining interest back in my car. At this point and time I am riding on my steelies with the dents still in my doors, but hey I realize that it is really not that bad so I started taking care of it again. Washing it regularly and keeping my bay clean. So next may of 2010 my wife and I close on our house and I am excited b/c I have a garage now. No more working on my car in the apartment parking lot. One month after we moved in to the house my son, G-spot and I was headed to Wal-mart and my car was trying to stall. So when I get back home and back it in the garage we looked under the hood and realized the intake mani had broke, so I rush and replaced it. I shouldn't have rushed b/c it caused me a big problem. Blown head gasket as a product of a warped head from overheating b/c I only put a gallon of antifreeze and forgot to put more. So over the course of about 7 months I tore down the motor and bought a new head, reconditioned my block and had the crankshaft worked over. Motor is completely assembled and back in the car. I am excited to start it up hoping that I was successful in my 1st attempt of a repair of this magnitude. 29 degrees outside(which is not normal in Houston) and I have pushed the car out of the garage since it was pushed in 7 months ago.
She starts and then dies after running for a lil less than a min. So I crank it back up and get the same response 3 times. Then she wouldn't start anymore. Found out the coils were not putting out a spark. So my brother and I check all wiring and vac lines. Long story short about 1 week later I figure out what the problem was and she cranked and stayed running but had an oil leak. Problem fixed now and so far so good.
Only put about 15miles on it as of today. Basically driving around the neighborhood at night b/c inspection and registration are out.
Now my future plans include:
jdm fender flares installed (currently in my trunk)
jdm side skirts (in possesion but needs prep work and installation)
different jdm grille (cancelled)
super vr-4 splitters
jdm rear
magnaflow 14829
obx header
double din in dash dvd player
agx shocks/struts
2nd gen tails (complete)
hid heads(5000k) and fogs(3000k)
repaint wheels all gold, gold w/polished lip, or gold w/black lip
redo audio
custom plates
5 speed swap (possible 2012 project)
Lets see what I can make happen.

I put 60 miles on her today and she did great, I think it is about time for some shocks though. She feels too soft. I kept her below 75mph and did my best not to exceed 3500 rpms. Friday I am gonna give her a good bath.
Back from the dead!!!

Well here is a shot of some newly acquired parts...
Back from the dead!!!
SWEET!!!!!! I want..... :D
The key to Immortality is first living a life worth remembering.
Well I started leaking oil from a broken bolt that I was using to plug the hole where the balance shaft tensioner use to be. So I drilled through and tapped the hole and place another bolt in its place with permatex on it. So far so good. Motor is almost broken in just about 80 more miles to go. The only issue I have is rpms at idle range from 1200-2000. Not sure yet if this is a result from the eliminated balance shaft.
Back from the dead!!!
nope, you got a TB problem there. IAC, BISS, Gaskets, TPS
Probably need to idle it down some

I tried several strategies to remove the broken bolt and none were successful. So I drilled through the bolt and tapped the hole and inserted another bolt and used permatex this time. I let it cure for about 12hrs and drained my oil and put fresh oil in. so far a lil over 600miles on the rebuilt motor.
Well the other day my battery and brake indicator came on while I was driving and went off shortly after, so I didn't concern myself with it. A few days later my car was idle and I had my hazards on and noticed the the brake and battery indicator was in sync with my hazards so I replaced my alternator. Good thing I did because that bitch was fucked up...
After new alt was installed I let car idle in driveway about 20mins, then I drove to the gas station. While at the gas station I heard a loud knocking/ticking sound from my car. I was like wtf! The first thing that came to mind was I fucked up a rod. I kinda ruled that out as I continued to drive to go pick up my food from a restaurant and then went to autozone to turn in my core. While I am driving car acts normal just ticking, I couldn't hear it inside with road noise and the sound of the intake. So I am laying in bed lastnight going over the possibilities. Oil is fresh and full 5w30. Then I started thinking it jumped time, then I was thinking it might be something wrong with my lifters, or possibly I have a loose rocker arm. I dont know but I am about to check my timing marks then remove my valve cover.
