    Blown Tranny?

Hey we have a 99 es w/ about 80,000 miles on it

well n e ways, my sis tried to drive the car to work about 1/2 hour ago n she got maybe 100 yds down the road, and the car sounded messed so she turned around, pulled over n turned it off. Then she started it, put it in drive, and nothin happend. We tried every gear, 1, 2, n 3, -nothin. wut the F*CK is wrong w/ our G??? the tranny shouldn't be gone after only 80,000 should it?

I would check to make sure that the shifter is actually creating motion down at the tranny. Maybe some linkage broke/came loose.

The shifter is creating motion down in the tranny, but we had it towed to a nearby shop, the guy said everything on the outside looked good, and it had to be internal

I lost mine at less than 50k, but i raced it no biggie.. It doesnt really have anything to do with the rpms, could have burnt the syncro's..

The trannys are the weak link to our cars, I say its internally gone. When did you change the fluid last? And did you use Mitsu fluid?

The last time the oil was changed the guy said the tranny fluid looked fine n not to worry bout it , but n e way we're gettin a rebuilt tranny with 19,000 miles n a 1 yr unlimited milage waranty - $1400 w/ installation, i thought it woulda been like $2000, but does that price sound right?
