Here is a tutorial on making a bracket for the ignition key release cable. We will be using and existing clip so no parts to buy other thsn nuts bolts washer and screw. This bracket will keep the cable in place with no worries of getting loose like with using tape or zipties. and it looks neater.

Changing out your stock shifter arm to a Short throw shifter arm.

This tutorial will be very detailed and many STEP BY STEP pics. I wanted everyone to be able to do it own there own without questions. If you dont need that many instructions just skip past what you dont need. I dont think i left out a single step, however if i did please say so.

[NOTE: I left out how to remove your seat, center console and auto shifter on purpose. If you cant figure that out on your own you are not ready for a manual swap.]

My stainless weighted short throw VS Reg steel OEM STYLE short throw

    Tools needed
    Mini crowbar
    12mm socket
    12mm wrench open or closed
Allen wrench, For my shifter it was 13mm
Magnetic Pick up tool, Mine has a built in light.

I started with my Shifter base out of the car, well thats how it was since we dont come manual so plbbbbbbbbb

Now install the empty base into the car, i lightly threaded my mounting bolts in to make it stable and stay in place. Heres how it looks

Place your new shifter into the base

You will have to remove the boot-stop to replace the shifter topmount

Remove the retaining ring using the minicrowbar while pressing the other side or ring with finger

Remove this bolt using allen key

there is another bolt inside the Stopper holding it to the shifter, loosen that and slide it up

Notice the notch when you unscrew the Stopper.

Now put the top bracket back on Base

Now replace the bootstop onto the shifter [NOTE: I put my stopper back onto my shifter UPSIDE Down because I AM using a universal TIE/Velcro boot for the time being. The Stopper SHOULD be BIG side up]

Now to lock down the shifter bracket top plate
first slide in the shimmy WITHOUT the hole

    next with hole

    now place washer on bolt

    now place lockwasher

next place the nut back on bolt

SNap the shifter cable into place making sure its firmly seated and both retaining bars are above the swivle base

Now slide the spring bolt back through and connect to the shifter arm

place the washer back on the bolt

Now reattach the nut using your ratchet and wrench same as in the picture

Now were going to replace the rubber bushings with the Solid bushings

    Rubber bushing were removing

    Solid bushing to replace them

    Comes with spacer

I only unbolted the front bushings leaving the rear bushings to keep base from moving while prying out the rubber bushings

    Used mini prybar to remove

Once out place spacer UNDER the shifter base

Now place in the solid bushing

Now place in the bolt and tighten down half way, repeat those steps on all four corners , once all four bolts in tighten them all, all the way down. your finished product should look like this

Now reasseble your center console and should look something like this

    ENjoy your new SHort throw
