Bienvenido! (Welcome), for that year, that would be an 8th generation Galant, and the best looking ones. Lots of info here. ;-)
Hello to everybody, I am Cvetan and it's nice to meet you all.
About my Galant connection: I am planning on buying my first Galant pretty soon and I wanted to be part of a community as well! I actually used to be the designated driver (I am an athlete so my personal policy is no alcohol and drugs :D) of my friends' Galant, while I was in college in the US and I loved that car (I am 6'9'' and that car was actually suitable for me! :D), now I am back home and I thought, that a Galant would be the perfect car for me at this point.
I am looking at some 00 and 01 models right now (I am not yet very aware of Generations and stuff) and I might post some photos, so that the more experienced people would give me some pointers and suggestions, which I would appreciate a lot. I would like to buy an older and cheaper car and work on it after and make it a dream car.
If anybody would like to know more or is selling a car in the area let me know!
Thanks to everybody and see you around!
-C

De que estamos hablando?
Thanks guys!
@PR8GG thanks for the info :D I just found that myself as well, 99-03 8gen, that's what am looking for! They do look better then the other models, I am not digging the newest ones at all, for some reason..
Welcome to TGC! I agree the 8th gens are the sharpest looking galants IMO. Good luck finding one you like.

6'9".....didn't someone post up recently that he was 6'7"? I'm surprised 8G's can cater tall people?

Guys,
Thanks for all the welcomes.
I have a question - November 98, gen 7 o 8? It has the square fog lights and the air conditioner control with the LED.
I got an offer, around 2300 euro (around 3250 dollars), it has all the extras, except for leather seats.
Any opinions, suggestions, offers! :)
Thanks for any info you guys!
If it was built in november 98 it's safe to assume its a model year 99, which is squarely into the 8G territory. However I know JDM 8G's were first sold in 96, not sure about in Bulgaria when the 8G was first sold.

Guys,
Thanks for all the feedback!
I got some updates on my situation:
I found a guy in Bulgaria, offering this to me for a "reasonable" 2100 euros (2950 USD) (maybe I can get it a little lower)
January '98, 2.5 liter, 163 hp, 150k km (just under 100k miles, not sure if real number, will check before I commit to buy)
I am thinking it's an 8gen, correct?
I would appreciate any comments.
Welcome!
And yet another nice overseas G. To you plain and boring, to us "Main Goal"
That car is begging for CAI

CAI?
:) am getting a good vibe from that car too, I actually went and test drove a "dark wine" red, same model/year car yesterday, but without the leather, I hated the color at first, but then absolutely fell in love with it.
Car had a rear spoiler, added that bit of aggressive form to it..
I am not a teenager anymore, so I don't think I would be changing the body kit or anything major on the exterior besides spoiler and nice clean rims, I would just work on the performance, so for me not so plain and boring :)
btw, how is this different than the US models? Because I am actually basing my Galant experience on the one I drove in VA
