also need some info on doing a MAF swap, i know they do a 1g to 3g MAF harness adaptor, would that be able to work with mine as well? being that im N/A im not sure if the 6g NA maf is the same as the vr4 or as the 1g, can someone shine some light on this subject, my plans are to make a custom CAI, but i'd rather use the 3g Maf vs a 2g/7g due to being able to use a 3" coupler instead of a 4.5 hack

found this pinout between the 1g sensors and the 3g/evo...i guess that includes 8g as well
    3G MAF pinout
    Pin 1 = +5 volts
    Pin 2 = Barometer
    Pin 3 = Airflow Hz
    Pin 4 = +12 Volts from MPI
    Pin 5 = Ground
Pin 6 = Intake Air Temp
    Pin 7 = Reset

So, the correct crossover wiring to our MAS plug is:
    3G/EVO Pin 1 to 1G MAS Pin 4
    3G/EVO Pin 2 to 1G MAS Pin 7
    3G/EVO Pin 3 to 1G MAS Pin 2
    3G/EVO Pin 4 to 1G MAS Pin 3
    3G/EVO Pin 5 to 1G MAS Pin 6
    3G/EVO Pin 6 to 1G MAS Pin 8
    3G/EVO Pin 7 to 1G MAS Pin 1

the part numbers for the non turbo 1g/6g is MD125922 and the 1g turbo is MD125924. should be the same plug tho. so in theory you can use a 3g but i really wouldnt mind a 2g/7g as there are plenty of intakes for it and its honestly 1 coupler and you can fit a 4.5 inch filter and there is the 1g to 2g plug too

im actually talking about the back end of the 2g/7g maf, that oval shape that u have to stretch to fit, dont feel like doing another home depot mod if i dont have to

also something to note about calibration being needed for the 3g maf.

2g no calibration really needed. its so minimal it can self tune out whereas the 3g/evo flows a lot more esp when cruising so you would always lean out
