Car was not running right and it sounded different. After some research I had found the timing may be off by one tooth. Being I had just replaced the timing belt and water pumps before the engine went in, I guess it was possible. So I adjusted the timing belt, she is 100% better and sounds so good. I guess I got lucky I didn't mess something up.

    Anyway, success story!

Just finished installing new lower control arms with new balljoints and bushings, new inner and outer tie rods, trimmed my Liberal Grill slightly to fit the hood latch properly, flat blacked my radiator support, and took her for a spin. Needs an alignment bad but other than that we're good for now, can't wait until I get the new coils

You are lucky that nothing happened,Where was the timing belt off a tooth at?

at the crank, valves were both lined up. It could have slipped while holding tension on the new tension pulley and popping the hydraulic tensioner loose. I'm just glad I researched instead of replacing all plugs, wires, cap, and rotor like I planned lol.

Just wondering when you did the tie rods you counted the threads on them right? It helps it a little when you count them.No matter what it will need an alignment though.

Put in 6 NGK IX iridium plugs today. It was not fun, but not as bad as I initially thought it would be.

No. I looked them over and checked them with an ohm meter. Seemed like everything was in good shape. Its approaching timing belt time. Hoping to keep her running for another 170,000! Oh and the wash, clay bar, buff, and wax didn't hurt either.

Always do plug wires with your plugs, you can skip one maintenance interval, but at 170k miles

Ohh well, just do it next time you have the intake plenum off.

I once heard the iridium plugs werent as good as the ngk R's it takes. When I had my 3g I used the iridiums with no problems. Anyone clear this up for me?

BTW: I remember the Real Royal PITA it was to take that plenum off. Good work soldier.

installed my 4 channel amp to my Kicker 6x9 and 6.5. Sounds really good. I really not sure if i want to do Subs but this is the next best thing in the meantime. Also recieved my EGR visor from Cali today. time to take it to the shop to get it color matched

My battery is brand new and it is 590CC and i just brought a brand new alternator. Can i install a 2 channel amp to the same battery or will that not be good???? The 4channel is 400/4 and the 2 channel is 150/2
