    Guzm4n's 8G Build

Okay this might not be the most exciting build cause i'm still 15 and can't make a lot of money and I don't think I'm going to do anything big to the Galant. My dad got it for $3000 with 90k miles on it, then two years later he gave it me.

    -Solid shifter base bushings

    -JDM old style grille
    -JDM old style front bumper

    -Kartboy end links
    -Tein S. Tech springs
    -KYB GR-2 struts & shocks

Heres some pics when I got it:

Don't mind the riced out tahoe, he used to be a cooker where I work at.

At first I knew nothing about Galants or never heard about them. I wanted an Integra as a first car and I also wanted to put a type r front on it if I got one. But I guess I fell in love with the Galant when my dad had it and it was the car where I learned how to drive. He was about to sell it until I told him I would buy it, but he decided he will just give it to me.

So before i knew about TGC, this was my plan for it:

    Yea, go ahead and laugh

So the bulbs in the gauges blew out and I did this until i got new ones:

and here is how I would turn them on:

next thing I did was the grille mod:

    Then I painted it:

    shaved the trunk:

painted the wood trim (just got to do the trim on the doors now):

So now that I ran out of free mods I decided to go JDM. I think I might be the only one in Iowa with a JDM front and maybe the first one too. I bought a fiberglass old style bumper because I couldn't find an OEM one.

    I trim the crash bar:

    bought some foglights from Galantman03:

test fitted the bumper, need to paint it:

then I bought some JDM headlights:

and got a JDM grille from sAnDiEgOVR4

I update this when I get all my JDM stuff on the Galant. Now i want to save some money for lowering springs or new rims because I don't like the wheel gap and my rims aren't looking so great:

    and I'm missing bolt.

    Not bad so far.

The wheels can easily be saved, nothing some sandpaper, primer and paint can't fix!

But don't leave a lug missing on that bolt for too long, or it'll just rust over and need replacement.

Thanks, I think I'll do that and save money for lowering springs.

Ding. With that shade of red, the stockers would look nice in bronze.

Mine is a GTZ too, but it didn't have the original grille.

Only 8-10 clip holds the bumper, easily taken off and painted black, silver etc.

    <--------- didn't know

Definitely paint the grilles black, no need to draw attention to grill inserts. Bumper came out great, too.

Base on his sig, would be interesting to see how it looks if painted a dark gold/bronze to match his rims lols.

damn you are alot farther then i was at 15 with my G. At that time i was putting exhaust on it and rebuilding the head with cleared turns and steelies. IF you want you car to look like your sig i would recommend just getting coilovers, and for that much of a drop you would need something like the BC racing Br series extreme drop kit.(I wish i would have done that in the first place with mine) But you are off to a great start

Don't worry I did paint it black, the red was drying when the picture was taken. Now I just have to take some pictures of the car.
