what difference would switching to hi/lo kit do?
it's the DRL's. DRL's supply 1/2 power to the bulbs when the headlights are off... ballasts hate this. once the DRL's are disabled, all will work as intended (except u will no longer have DRL's).
remember 9G's come equipped w/ DRL's from factory.
where is everyone getting there Hids? My driver side bulb is starting to flicker every now and then so pretty soon its gonna die, I want to upgrade to a 55w kit this time, any ideas?

i just recently got my hid kit(hidextra.com) first one from ddm tuning died after water had gone into the system. Anyways I disabled the drl and if my switch is in the off possition it still flickers. same goes for when i switch it to the middle. Not sure if this is sapose to happen.
I you have a projector beam you will need just a low beam kit.
My hid flickered every time I release the handbrake. Hid was not getting constant power from the stock wiring. Bought a drl bypass wiring harness for 20 bucks and it fixed the flickering. Only thing is no more drl
Does the 9g/2012 have DRL? How come I don't have any?
