Nice :)
Looking good man! We need to meet up before the years over, I just switched coilovers cuz the megans were far too stiff for me
Thanks Adrian!! It's a combination of a few colors. flat black, dark blue metallic, and a flake.
Thanks Keef!!!
I agree dude. it's been way too long. I got my license back for good now so meeting up should be easy schmeezy. I am thinking of doing a meet in October. September is going to be a busy month for the car if all plans go accordingly.
Thanks dude!
Thanks Ally!! I cant stop staring at her these days either! Falling in love all over again.
Wow those look better than before now I got to go early to UTI just to check out your car.
It's time for me to let the cat out of the bag. For the past few months I have been collecting and hoarding parts for the G. Next week, the build begins so I am going to let TGC in on what I am doing.
Back in December I messaged Marc (Ivory8g) about his last turbo set-up and in March I started collecting parts.
I have this chillin in my garage waiting to be installed.
EVO8 16G
EVO8 IC piping
2.5" FMIC
EVO8 BOV
HKS SSQV BOV
Ebay tubular manifold
4G63 exhaust manifold flanges to act as spacers x2
M8x60x1.25 allen head bolts x7
M10x60x1.25 flange head bolts x2

Prosport Oil pressure gauge
Glowshift dual gauge gauge pod
EVO fuel rail and regulator
Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump (already installed)
WRX 440cc injectors
-4AN SS braided line for oil feed
-10AN Nylon braided line for return
BLOX Oil filer housing adapter
Greddy E-manage Blue w/Boomslang harness (courtesy of Ivory8g)
Golden Eagle Vacuum manifold
12" Slim fan (push set-up)
Waiting on my guys exhaust guy to get an estimate for a custom DP/TBE
I want to run about 10-12 psi, on my own personal tune. No one else is going to touch this car except for whoever is fabricating the exhaust.
It's about to get real.
yea!
For whoever is paying attention in the Forced induction section, Baby G is now boosted. I figured I'd share some of the pictures during the build. The wife made a scrap book so there were a ton of pics.
First day, I mounted the intercooler to the crash bar and removed the manifold along with the fuel rail and injectors. I also installed the EVO rail, FPR, and WRX 440's.
Next day I got to work on it was a wednesday, by this time, I had the oilpan installed and was now prepping the car to get the manifold and spacers on.
spacers worked like a charm. also wrapped the starter in heat reflective tape.
Grinding the turbo housing down for more clearance.
The next day was a Friday, this is when the clearance issues for the water lines popped its ugly head out. I had bought -8 AN fittings with push-lock adapters, just to find out they were too long and hit the starter. I was pretty de-motivated but a click away on FP's site got me back up and working. We also removed the PS pump, the AC, and the condenser that night.
The next day was Saturday, we worked from 11PM to 4AM and got the fan installed the turbo mounted and the pillar ready for gauges. we also got the oil feed and return lines mocked for when the turbo is ready to be permanently installed.
starting to come together
junk pile
My buddy Brian doing work on the pillar with my wifes old hairdryer
GmoEM2 painting the crashbar
feels right at home
trimming the bumper to fit the Intercooler.
Push fan set-up along with the intercooler
clearance between the stock fan and turbo
wiring the gauges
the gauges lit up
Theres a ton more pictures my wife took but this is about all the pics relevant to the thread.
I got the evo ignition coils today, i will swap the Galant boots and wires to them and install them tomorrow. I also have to replace the line going to the turbo because it started to seep oil from being too kinked. I got an extra 6" line an AN union and another 2 ft. of braided line to replace the leaky one. going to finish up the wiring on the fan and clean her up and it's photoshoot time.
She sits like this, being driven everyday like I intended too. Gosh, did I miss her. Feels like a TOTALLY DIFFERENT animal.
