Once I stomp it, and it knows I mean business, the thing hauls, but it acts like it doesn't want to be driven, and the G is the polar opposite. It changes gears quickly, it turns quickly, it's a dream compared to the Impala. So is the Diamante, that thing never fails to pin me in the seat. I miss my cars already.
Welcome to the gm's new electronic throttle. My brother traded in his equinox on a subaru tribeca and he absolutely loves the subaru. He said the equinox awd was basically worthless and he described the throttle just like you described it. Bet you the nissan's throttle is more responsive.

Yeah the Nissan's response is instant on my wife's 3.5 Altima. Quick as f#%^! Even made Beam514 say "Ohh, thats pretty nice for a car with a baby seat in the back!" LMBO!

Meh my dad has a 2010 4 banger and the throttle response is sucky, my Gs is soo much better. I can floor it and tap the pedal and it wont move for a god 2-3 seconds. But my moms 2011 odessey now that thing is a beast for a mini-van. Its soooo pimpin.

LZE powered Impalas are slow. lol that's all rental fleets buy.

Now, hop in an LZ9 or LS4 powered Impala, and your acceleration issues go away. LTZ and SS trim Impalas are of a different animal compared to the oh so common base LT and LS Impala with an LZE under the hood.

My wife loves the Sentra, she's asking me too many questions already about its pricing and whatnot. She can get one if she wants, I'm gona take the d from her, I drive it more than her anyway, and she drives it more than the SUV, it only gets used when the whole family has to go out. My parent's Ford Five Hundred has one of them electronic throttles, that along with its CVT makes it as fun to drive as deep dental scaling.

It is an LTZ with the dual exhaust, Chris, she moves when she finally gets the message lol:

It's got the Bose system, full leather interior, Onstar, it's smooth, no doubt, just not as responsive as I want it to be.

If you buy one of the newer B16 Sentras, do yourself a favor, and snatch up an SE-R. Normal SE-Rs have CVTs, and spec Vs have six speed manuals. Me, personally...I HATE CVTs. lol I like my gears, even more so, rowing my own gearbox.

2.0L Sentras are holybatshitslow, you'll regret it.

Well now...LTZ. Dual exhaust = LZ9 power. 3.9L OHV VVT V6. Makes roughly 250HP. That throttle issue, I know with the Pontiac G6 crowd (those cars have the same LZ9 engines in GTP models, and the LZE's counterpart, the LZ4) they have tunes to quicken the response of the electronic throttle. I know it's a rental, but that issue is such an easy fix.

Wow that's cool they can do that. This Enterprise location had a couple nice cars, some trucks, vans, a Challenger (what's up Scott) and the Sentra. I was very surprised they had this car. I need something bigger than a Cobalt, so I had to upgrade and this was what they had for me.

Me being the GM fanboi, and even more so, I have a soft spot for FWD GMs with pushrod 60*V6 power. More things electronically controlled, just means it's more accessable with tuning software. :)

BUT, I do prefer my GA's cable throttle. lol The LA1 was the last pushrod 60*V6 to have a cable throttle.

I have yet to drive a drive-by-wire car that has the same response as a cable throttle, but maybe I haven't driven the right one yet. I test-drove an Avalon a while back, and the same thing, it took a half-second before the engine knew what my foot was doing.

I love my mom's LTZ. Sum bitch will get it! Exhaust isn't too shabby either. Mirrors are too small for me, though.

If I had the spending cash, I go out of my way for an LTZ Impala. The LZ9 is a great motor, despite it's tendency to eat a quart of oil every 3000-4000 miles, even when new.

The exhaust setups I've heard on G6 GTPs and Malibu SS's with the LZ9, one very deep and throaty exhaust tone. But they're making close to 265HP in GTP and SS spec on the Epsilon chassis cars, for the LTZ, it's more around 250HP, which isn't bad, but the W-body chassis isn't exactly light.

my si has drive by wire acceleration and you cant even tell to be honest. it feels the same as any cable throttle car... although i have driven other cars and it does seem to lag and be semi unresponsive

Yeah, I think I would too. I know a guy from school who has one, and it's pretty dope. I would just do the exhaust, intake, wheels and a drop. And a few others. Hell, I might try to buy my mom's for my DD to build my G.... Hmmm. You just gave me an idea...
