welcome to TGC!!! post some pics of ur car
Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking about the forum for several years now, and decided that since I'm now an official 7g owner, my lazy @$$ should finally register.
Anyways, I'm the new owner of a 5-speed '96 'S'. It's the BASE model, with no power anything. It has 198k, and runs fine with the exception of a CEL (needs an O2 sensor) and an issue with 4th gear (linkage).
I'm only 23, but I've owned MANY cars, including two Audi's, a BMW, a P10 G20 5-speed, and a long string of v6/5-speed Mazda 626's. After the test drive I was genuinely surprised at how much fun it was to drive, and how much power it had. I REALLY want to drive a GS, now.
On that note, I currently live in South Carolina (originally from Long Island, NY) and I wanted to know if anyone wanted to schedule a meet in the area. It would be cool to get some kind of Galant club going down here.
Well, that's pretty much it for now. Later, all.

Will do, but I should warn you that it ain't much to look at, at the moment. It needs minor bodywork, and I H-A-T-E the aftermarket wheels that the PO put on it. It's definitely a work-in-progress type of deal. Still, you can't complain too much for $750.
its cool, everyone gotta start somewhere, once u clean it up a bit and start working out the kinks, it'll be a beaut, check out the members rides section for the 7g's and see what u like....lots of info on that gen...
looks like its sagging in the back a bit
Welcome to TGC, she'll be on her way to greatness in no time!

Man...I wish I could go to the meet, but it's such short notice. Do you have meets regularly? It would be awesome to go to a Galant meet out here.
Thanks for the encouragement, people. I know that she has a lot of potential. It's just a matter of time...
Welcome 2 TGC!
