Houses are okay, but the economy is better here than in some parts of the country due to the proximity of the federal government, but the taxes ain't exactly cheap, and traffic sucks major dick and balls during rush hour the closer you are to DC, Baltimore has its pockets, but the inner city usually has low traffic all times.

It is crazy. I mean, just to RENT, I know typical dues are $1200 - $1800 a month for a decent place to live. Not easy on your own, I still have a good amout of friends sharing a few places to make rent pay easier.
A good friend of mine lives down in NC, cost of living IS cheaper, but so are incomes. But, move down there with NY money saved up, you'll be good.

Yeah, real estate has always been wacky on Long Island. My fam got lucky with our current house. $248K, back in 2002. Now that money doesn't even land you a house like mine almost ten years later. :/
But parts are hard NOT to buy! lol I really need to fix that EGR visor and greddy's lip for the G next year. Shit, I still need the sockets for the JDM heads I have lying around.
