So, yesterday I had my car cut off on me and after that, I had a rough idle, but at speed the car was fine. Today, she started right up, drove like a champ and out of nowhere, my CEL came on. Pulled my codes, P0171 and P0174, System Too Lean Bank 1, System Too Lean Bank 2. Asked a 20-yr Mistu tech (who drives the absolutely most-quietest 4-cyl 8G I've ever heard) who I'm in this training class with about it, he said "sounds like a vacuum leak." Go under my hood, and I see this:

Intake resonator fell the fuck off!

It will not go back on and stay on. I'm gonna duct tape it for now, but it looks like a CAI shall be purchased with tax money!

Few hours ago I became a owner of an 8 gen galant. After working at a Mitsubishi dealership as a lube tech I notice these cars are bullet proof and pretty easy to work on.the previous owner was a mitsu tech and he kept her in good shape. Only thing I gotta do is replace the driver side lower control arm and a good cleaning. I have alot of plans with my new mitsu and plan on not beating on it, not to hard ;)

With 168k, timing belt water pump tranny flush new battery radiator I couldn't say no for 2100

I actually already have one pair of mini's in my car and the other will go to the other G. Leave as is for now. I would need more cash for FXR, bulbs and ballasts. I had H1's kits already.

That happened to my 3G Greg, for the mean time just tape up the hole leave the resonator out.

I know this wasn't on my G, but still an accomplishment! Had a messed up hood latch/cable, finally got the hood open without breaking anything important.

Had to remove the intakes/airbox on each side to remove the headlights. Then I was able to swap the old Halo bulb for a new LED "bulb". Loving the new look!

I just came back in the house from taping it up, I used black electrical tape and unless you look for it, you can hardly tell. Took it for a test drive, rides fine. I'm starting to look for a CAI so hopefully if this money come in this week I can throw that joint on!
