Yeah, it's definitely a snug fit with a sleeve and larger bolt. I was shocked to see it do that.

Indeed, it did bend the ring around the insert. I'm not sure it would be due to the weight since I've never had to brake hard, except the one time I auto-x'ed last Summer. I would expect it to require more abuse than that.

JDyal - Thanks. That was actually between coats. We'll see how well it holds up. The paints not a perfect match either.

But I cleaned them, then wet-sanded with 800 / 1000 grit before I started. Did 4 light coats, leaving 10 mins between each coat. Actually got a couple drips last night, so I carefully wet-sanded those out last night and gave it another coat.

They look pretty good as of now. Gotta do the black part on the bottom, then buff it in a few days to get it really smooth.

I would recommend powdercoating it cuz it would last longer.

Ehh p/c won't really last much longer. My friend who refinishes/sells wheels repaints all his wheels and they last just as long, with a nicer finish IMO. Its just all about the quality of the work.

the other 3 are fine, guess this one didnt cure right or something who knows

Mocking up the panel for the JDM switch. Used QuikSteel to fill the gap then dremel it down (definitely went overboard with the amount, LOL). But, once I cut it down its like a glove now (slightly crooked I think). Just gotta refinish it.
