For anyone that is upgrading to the 6g74 throttle body and need the IAC pigtail, you can order one from http://www.msrecycling.com/mitsubishi/diamante.htm I've been looking for one for several months now and I finally found one. Hope this helps someone else.

Is the 3g radiator same as the 8g? My 3g rad has only one fan in the middle instead of the 2 my g has.

Iirc the height is different on both. One is shorter than the other but can't remember which.

Searched a little and looks like 3g rads are ~1-2 inches shorter

how clean would I have to get the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and the engine block for changing the head gasket?
this is as clean as I can, is it enough?

I also should point out, this isn't from a blown head gasket, so no need to deck the head, this is because a fucking washer fell in the #6 cylinder, and due to school (before summer) and work, I have just been pulling apart the engine slowly

It's recommend the head gets sent to a machine shop to resurface it for the best seal.

Copper spray would work but it's definitely better to get it decked if u have the spare cash.

I used a mix of h7 degreaser and gasoline. And painted it low gloss black.

    Random question:

Would a 7 bolt DSM oil pan fit on a 4g64 8G??, Would the oil drain hole be pointing to the fire wall?

Reason I need an Oil pan and found one cheap.

What do you mean, VIP like security protection? 6 dollars maybe 10 for some wire and a bosch relay. On your fuel pump. Hide the switch and have a hidden fuel cut switch so that if someone breaks in they can't take the car.

VIP you can have a hidded switch and cut the power to the starter. Very cheap and effective.

i meant alarm wise, just keyless entry access and some noise if some little kids run into my car or somethin in the neighborhood, but a kill switch is somethin i should also look into. cus if someone breaks into my car ill be happy they cant take the car but i also dont want them to take anything out of it

is it necessary to replace both lower control arms if the bushings are bad on one side? i have other cars that are priority.. but i do wanna get this galant looking and running right..

i know i know.. "just replace both conrol arms" but like i said im trying to save money.. if i can get away with just replacing all the bushings id like to just do that..

First try rock auto.com for the control arms way cheaper than most anywhere else. And secondly yes u can just replace the bushings if nothing is bent or damaged but the problem is if u use standard rubber depending on where u live u will be doing it again, secondly you could ugrade to energy suspension bushing but that might defeat save money purpose. Problem with those options is most people have to blowtorch the old stuff off or press it out etc. So might take days. So I would price all those options keeping in mind what you would need tool wise to do it yourself then decide. Good luck sir.

forgot about that.. if anythings pressed in id be screwed.. i found some arms local for about 48 bucks each.. im going threw so many tires.. takes about 6 months to wear totally bald and show the metal... both tires.. extreme vibration and road noise..

I mean if u keep going through tires maybe u should go energy suspension and rock auto I think are cheaper than that check junk yards too.

Anybody know the size of the bolts that go through the knuckle and hubs, or where to get them? I'm not even able to use my old ones cause of the rusted axles.
