Lol... I'm not really sure if it will fit. But I got a good deal on it. And I was going to go with an Evo V front, but I need to sell the dolphin to buy it... and since nobody is interested in it I don't have many more options.
The front bumper doesn't look right to me... IMO, I wouldn't chop up that G bumper, you'd have an easier time with an actual Evo V or VI front bumper (used or aftermarket).
That muffler does look nice, but holy shit it's long! You sure there's enough space to fuckig in nicely under there?

Dropping it in price is the best I can do. And I can't really go any lower on it. Lol. And I am still suprised that I haven't sold the S-7 gauges yet. Figured it was a sure sale.

So... I'm just wondering if it is possible to run the Evo head swap with out the Turbo? Or should I use the Hyundai head? I'm going to build the 2.4 and eventually Turbo it. Just might wait. Just trying to figure out parts list and all that.

From what I have heard / read the EVO head is better n/a as far as compression and what not but the sanota head is great for pushing lots of air into? And if I had the money I would get the bumper from you but I am broke for now :( like skyforger said don't chop up the bumper just yet shoot for something that will fit better some one will buy it just a lot of people are broke right now.
A little detailed but you get the idea, you can stay n/a its been done before but it won't be cost effective HP/$, you could get a evo 8 turbo to get you started since they are cheap.

4g64T 5spd
please please please don't chop up that bumper. If I had money I would buy it lol but alas, I am a poor college student.
Holy shit Omega! Lol... thanks dude. More than I was looking for, but ill take it. Lol
As far as the bumper goes, I'd really like to buy the engine first anyway. So its a back burner project. As for the headlights, it will have Evo5 heads and tails.

Thanks man... ill dive deeper into it when I get the engine. As for now, money is tight and trying to find the body panels at "cheaper" prices is turning out to be a pain. Finding good deals, but freight shipping is a bitch. Paying over $500 for fenders is a bit out of my reach... for now.

So, just looking for opinions here... but which do you think I better?
4g64 and eventually turn it into dohc and Turbo
Or
4g69 and figure out a good way of Modding that (ie Turbo)
I don't know much about the g69 other than it drops in. Lol

4g64 drops right in, i beleive the f5m42 drops right in as well..since thats the 5spd they use
Yes it does Denver. I was just going to hit a jy and pick the motor and transfer from a 3g and do a rebuild before they go in. I just didn't know how well the 4g69 compairs.

the 4g69 utilizes MIVEC vs the 4g64, both are 2.4L engines, 69 puts out a little more power..uses multiport fuel injection...would it fit, yes, can u turbo it? yes, but with the 64 i beleive there is more support vs the 69...i'd go with tried and true, plus ur already familar with the 4g64
Actually N/A wise the 4G69 has a lot more aftermarket support than the 4G64 as far as turbo parts go, i believe the G69 guys have to have a custom manifold fabricated along with IC piping.

Yeah, with my experiance I'd say the g64 is a better bet. Cause like Denver said, I'm more familiar with the g64. Plus the thought of an "Evo" motor is exciting.

So does anyone know what axles i would need to get for this swap? I plan on getting the 4g64 and mani trans from a 3g eclipse from the junkyard. I just dont know if I need those axles too. Or the engine harness... how will i connect that to my car? I have looked on mirageforums.net but i cant seem to find an actual build thread. Found several that just shows pics after the build, but nothing like the build threads here. Im just trying to figure out everything befor i spend money on the wrong things.
