You need fuel trims first. Check evo scann for the low fuel trims. You need to idle the engine for 14 min with no rev. Let the ecu gather information from the o2 sensor and other sensor so it could calculate or register idle fuel trims. Most likely your low trims will be max out at -12.5

I found my TPS sensor was not correctly wired to the ecu, I fixed that problem where the TPS sensor is allowing for proper tune readings.
I have an updated video after I fixed the TPS problem.
I have attached the evoscan log of this run if anyone cares to take a look.

Why so rich? Even if you dont play with the MAF corretion and Injector latencies, a simple injector rescaling should bring you in the 14's:1 AFR
I just read all 39 pages of your build thread, and I have to say, I envy your dedication. At this point, I'd have thrown a rock at it and given up.
Your car is stunning, and I applaud you. Definitely a beautiful build.
If you wouldn't mind my asking, roughly how much have you invested in the car so far?
I had isaurio take a look at my maps and found a lot of things to be off. I'm going to give it another go tonight and hope she purrs in the 14's or 15's.
Thanks a lot for your appreciation =) I have been in love with the 8g ever since I hopped in one so I won't give up on it and I'll walk away from it if I can't take the frustration it gives.
To answer your question, I'm in the 10-12k range without the cars purchase price. Everything that is done to this is done by me or my family, so labor has been free. This of course is not counting how many clutches, tires, exhausts, or previous engines. The cost is just for the current parts installed.
Btw, I envy your dedication of reading all 39 pages xD

Are you planning to fumigate your garage?
i hope you figure it out and get it running smooth!

I was, and still am, pretty heavy into the 3000GT/Stealth club, but I have been trying to get rid of my 3000GT for a while now, and I'm hoping to dive head-first into this scene. My girlfriend still has a '95 Stealth that I work on, but the Galant is my true love. I hope to one day have a car that looks as amazing as yours.
And for the record, I've read ridiculously long build threads on pretty much every forum I've ever been a part of. Without ridiculous build threads, I'd have no knowledge of what to do, ever. lmfao.
im not too familiar with the v6's but that oil drain looks like trouble waiting to happen. is that the only place for the a drain? from what i can tell through pictures that black part is the very bottom of the oil pan correct? for your drain to be there is probably causing blockage, i would be worried about the seals on your turbo blowing quickly after hitting any kind of high rpm. i know the 64/63 see 800-100psi easy on startup im not sure if its the same on the v6 but i would double check that quickly. if you blow your turbo seals you will get smoke like that too
as for your injector latencies are you 100% that the big maps is defined correctly ive never seen those voltages for the battery in those tables. it should be like this
4.6875
7.03125
9.375
11.7188
14.0625
16.4062
18.6768
I know the ecu doesn't usually see that full range of voltage but scaling it any different doesnt make much sense. you mostly use the 9-14 cells unless there is a issue. but the reason i ask if it defined correctly is because if your change the actual latencies and the the table isnt defined correctly who know what you actually adjusting.
white smoke that bad is usually coolant getting into the exhaust somewhere the head gasket or a crack in the block. running extremely rich would be black smoke.
have you check for any DTC's
i could be way off tho lol, hope you get it running well

Nice glad you were able to get one! The galant does take quite a bit of work for the jdm conversion and to make faster. If you wanted to make your car faster, the 5spd swap is highly recommended by me lol.
Glad you're picking things up by checking out our threads!
I do have 60-80lbs at startup, but I also have a 2mm restrictor at the turbo feed. Do you think this is still a problem?
I had Isaurio check out my tune and the injector voltages were put back to those numbers. I had originally changed the voltages because I found a table with voltage to ms values listed. I was thinking this would have helped but no go.
The white smoke does not smell sweet, I was thinking the same thing especially since the feedback with the cometic head gaskets is terribly for the 3000gt guys. It might help to know the video's were taken in 25-35 degree temperature lol.

Any update Keith. Did you fix the boost leak?
I notice something about the v6 injectors and the 4g64 and the evos. The evos sprayers whole are bigger than the v6. So im thinking by putting the scaling to the evos it will dump too much fuel. So try to increasing the injectors scaling about 20% more to get less gas thru the injectors.
Isaurio, you're talking about the hole in the intake manifold? The feed rail is a 3sx custom rail which is much bigger than the oem v6 rails.

No. The actual injectors. On the bottom of the injectors the sprayers.
I have evo injectors though.. 6 of them. lol, did you forget?

Yeah. I know bro. Im giving u a actual comparison between the 4cly injectors and the v6. You need to increase the scaling.
To begging your injectors tune u need to get the fuel trims from the ecu. If the ecu dont give it to u you need to let it idle. The ecu is not ready. Just a few idle. 14 min no rev. Them shutdown. Let it rest them turn over and let idle for another 14 min. This is good also for break in. DONT REV ENGINE.
I have a 20 minute evoscan log. But it's with 2 boost leaks I had found. If you think these will still be helpful to you, I can shoot it your way. This was with no rev the entire time. Engine was sitting at 1250 rpms for 20 minutes so I should probably turn the idle screw down.

Yeah is a little. High. What is your tps %.
Send it to me. Let me check
You ever get it running smooth?
Only sonata f5m42 swapped. N/A build in motion.
Nope, From what I have read... I believe I have a faulty upstream o2 sensor. I still have to figure out what 90% of this big maps patch even says. It's in another language when compared to an evo rom lol.

Lol. Double check the maf sensor. Evo scan logs check the air flow. Upstream could be a problem also. Replace it and see if that helps.
