Intake question (AT vs MT)

So I'm looking at this injen intake for my auto 9g, but have seen on different sites that this setup is for manual transmissions only. According to this thread, it's due to a fitment issue.

Anyone have this intake and/or experience in installing an intake meant for a manual transmission onto an automatic?

I have an Injen intake myself and its the full CAI system and from what I remember it was for a manual transmission and it fit perfectly fine. Didnt have one issue

According to everybody you also have to watch if it's for a V6 engine or 4 cyl. Although I have no idea if a V6 intake can fit on a 4 cyl or vice versa, I'd go with whatever engine you have to be safe. I'm only saying this because I've found V6 CAI's are way cheaper than 4 cyl and in a biger variety.
