I was at the junkyard today and was doing my own research on the Diamante 6G74 Throttle Body. Some of you might know this but I didn't. Anyways we all know that we can use the 6G74 Throttle Body from 1998-2004 without Traction Control but the IAC changes in the middle of production. The Brown IAC is the roughly from 1998-2001 and the Black IAC is roughly from 2002-2004.
So I found 2 Diamantes in the junkyard today and one had the Brown IAC and one had the Black IAC. I played with the TBs and IACs and I found out that both IACs fit in the TB but you just use different mounting holes that the TB came with. In the picture below you can see the Black IAC is mounted. The Q-Tips are where the Brown IAC mounts. Both have 6 wires coming out of the pigtail and same color wires as well.
The only point to this post is that you can use either 6G74 IAC in the 6G74 TB, just use the right mounting holes.
