Got me the new Alpine CDE-147BT since I sold the Pioneer screen. Have yet to install it but it seems like a pretty solid unit. simple and clean but I still get 6 channels w/ 4V preouts. Hopefully I can get the rest of my sound in during the spring as it's all sitting collecting dust.

Got it at ABT for $180 w/ the Galant harness bc I told the guy I could get it from Crutchfield with everything for $199. Plus 1 for ABT

-Just ordered that. The Weber Smokey Mountain. For those who don't know what that is, its a smoker. For those who don't know what a smoker is, its a type of grill that uses wood and charcoal to cook meat. It uses the wood to add flavor to the meat and give it that smokey taste.

Thats a chimney starter. Basically, you use that to start your charcoal then transfer it to you grill.

I had been wanting to get the AEM oil pressure gauge to match my wideband, but for a fraction of the cost, the Prosport will be just fine. Plus at this point matching gauges is the last thing I'm worried about.

17's are the perfect compromise IMO. Anything bigger in diameter tends to ride like trash because of the limited tire size that fits.

Andrew your high beams should still be connected to the stock wiring, you probably did what Corey did a while back and fry the relay harness by connecting his bulbs to the bixenon/solenoid pigtails. Those pigtails shouldnt be used at all. However the relay shoulde still be tapped into the high beam positive.

You might have to do some cutting and splicing of an old relay harness to make it work, but using the projector wires as the trigger for the high beams, you can use an old relay to power the high beams straight from the battery so you don't overload the TRS relay. However, if I'm reading Vic right there's a problem driving the high beams with the solenoid wires, which I didn't know. It works in theory, and the wire gage looks sturdy enough to make it work, but if something in the relay box can't handle the load of the high beams on the projector wires, then don't use it, just use the stock wires. This is why I want to create my own custom harness when i do my retrofit, I want no problems.

If you use the stock wiring, you'll be just fine, since it was designed to run a 55w/60w filament already. In order to keep the low beams alive you need to tap the new relays high beam trigger to the stock high beam wire so it knows to continue to supply power to the ballasts for low beam. Projector pigtails will have 12V when highs are on so just tape off and tuck away.

Update! Fixed my problem and used the other relay harness I bought before the TRS harness, and plugged it into the plug for the projector solenoid to trigger the relay. Works so much better, and was plug and play. Thanks Greg and Vic, your help mad this so much easier.

x2 mine is ziptied to the rad support side to side piece that's behind the grill and you can't see it
