Would the Evo X MR struts work on the 8G?

From the looks of the mounting points it seems they would work.

Thanks! I have a few door dings and scratches, the dings are visible in the first pic if you look closely. Also I need to take a buffer to the front bumper if I'm not gonna paint the other one, and the roof has small sections with tiny little white spots, which I think is the start of cancer. I'm getting conflicting opinions on how to keep the cancer away, need to do more research before it gets too late.

Thanks! Took it with my long zoom lens from far away, that gives it that kinda different feel. It woulda looked different if I was actually that close with my normal lens.

These BCs ride like a dream though. Got them set half way and it's great for our streets.

I know from working on Stewis car a long time ago that front Evo knuckles are a lot wider where it accepts the strut, we had to spread the front with socket that was a hair wider then the knuckle. So I would a imagine it would be the reverse when using Evo suspension with 8g knuckles.

How are the rears? Does anyone know if they bolt up? I know the top mounts are the same

you know whats weird is, I have d2 coilovers, and I DID NOT have to spread them, with evo 8 front knuckles, they slid right in.

Yep. They need tires after two hard years of abuse lol. Spring time they'll be back on, as these tires are at 4/10 now and will probably be at the wear bars by the end of winter.

I don't think the Evo X will work either. On the left is the Evo X rear shock & on the right is the 8G Galant rear shock, the Evo X shock is longer than the Galant one (I know the Galant one is compressed but look at the black part of the shocks)

& the Evo X bottom mount diameter is smaller than the Galants (Galant shock is the top one, Evo X is the bottom)

I know 6g guys modify Evo 8 struts & shocks to make them work on their Galants. For the rear shocks they cut off their bottom mount & weld it in the space where the Evo 8 shock would mount on the bottom

Or remove the lower bolt mount shaft off the spindle, cut it off and drill & tap it for new bolt. Just an idea.
