2000 Galant 4cyl. now 443,000 k miles. original engine.
Wow ^ nice job lol. Hope mine lasts as long as possible
1999 8G ES 345,000, never changed the oil and still running strong.
@STEVEO, funny guy. I drive 73 miles each way. 146 miles each day to work, not counting when I use her on the weekends. I work at a Mitsubishi Dealer. I change the oil every 3k - 5k. She smokes only when idling for a very long time. Needs valve seals but I'm not worried. Best car I've ever had.
^^^ lol somebody must be doing it for him
^^You can go without changing the oil in an engine, it's something the auto repair industry doesn't want you to know about. They scare you with all these stories of thrown rods and engines locking up and whatnot, but it's all bullshit, BULLSHIT I TELL YOU! The molecular structure of the break-in oil that car manufacturers use has special properties that bond to the metal for the life of the engine, but if you ever change the oil, you lose that benefit and have to keep using the oil that the oil companies sell.
True story.
And while I'm at it, anyone want some of this Lehman Brothers stock and oceanfront property in Idaho I got for sale? For a small non-refundable fee, I'll sell you the certified winning numbers for Saturday's powerball too.
Oh, and my mileage to keep it all on topic:
I changed my oil about 1000 miles ago, the industry has me suckered lol
I'm just having fun, don't hold it against me lol

My car is around 173k-ish. If I didn't top my oil off at times in between changes it would be dry lol. I can't even imagine making it to 300k lol
For a minute there greg sounded pretty convincing
Exactly @wetamup2k3g, I guess you and me are the only ones that got it figured out...SUCKERS
