As always.... pics? lol
Hello, TGC!!Im a new member here at TGC, but not new to the forum! I have been a ghost here for a few months and its about time i joined. I have recently got my hands on my mom's hand-me-down 2002 Galant Ls 4G64 and i plan on doing many mods!! I look forward to being an active member here and meeting all the peeps!!
The car itself is nt in the best cosmetic shape lol. No dents, accidents, missing parts! Just a bunch of scratches on the hood and pretty much all over lol. There is one issue i have, there is some gorilla glue on some trims in the interior and a few spots on the exterior. Anyone have ideas on how to get it off without damaging the clear coat? The car's paint is in great shape however! The car also runs like a dream with no problems whatsoever; it is at 126k and it has millions more to go! Lol
Any-who, HELLO TGC!!!

Welcome! Not sure on what you can use on the glue. Safest thing I can think of is may be bug and tar remover by turtle wax. I know it does a good job on decal and emblem adhesive when its a thin layer. Another thing maybe worth a try is goo gone. I've used both on the exterior with no damage to paint, but I always wipe/ rinse with water to dilute the area after. But sine I've only used on the exterior, I can't really be held responsible if it goes wrong lol. Maybe you'll find safer definite solutions, but if not keep those in mind. Also if its a thick layer, maybe try using a hair dryer to soften it up before using whatever you use to clean it.
If you choose go gone, try a dollar tree store as they carry a small bottle for cheap. So if it doesn't work, there's no big loss. The tar remover on the other hand is a win win, cause you can always use for quick cleaning of bugs, tar/sap, bird bombs lol. Walmart should carry it

I didn't even think to try goo gone, thanks! Appreciate it! I have tried bug and tar remover and it didn't work that well. I'll probably try the hair drier and goo gone. Thanks again! And I'll get some pics of it up tomorrow when I get better ones haha. The only things I have done to it so far is debadged it, blacked the tail lights out (getting new ones soon) and got a carbon fiber logo (Girlfriend's present lol).
Welcome, I'm about 1.5 hours south of you, glad to see another Florida member. You're at 126k miles, when was your last timing belt done? Mitsu says to get a new one every 60k miles, if you haven't gotten a new belt since 60k I would do that asap since if the belt snaps then you'll have a big problem.
EDIT: July 19th, big mitsu car meet in St. Pete http://www.xecofl.com/events/afm-the-beach-meet/
You should go

Thanks guys! And yeah, I was looking into replacing the timing belt some time this summer. Thanks for the heads up! And that's awesome! I was going to ask if there are any Mitsubishi meets here in this area sooner or later! Thanks for the info, I'll definitely be there! Hopefully my G will be lowered by then. Planning on getting an Eibach lowering kit, both struts and springs are well overdue for replacement.

All these grayscale (white, silver, gray, black) Galants make me miss my gray Galant. Coming along nicely!

Thanks guys! I want to replace the taillights with the JDM ones, the reason why I tinted them is because the passenger side one got cracked, and I didn't have the money at the time to replace them. But, before I do the tails, the suspension is my biggest priority at the moment.
Welcome bro. Finally another fla member in my local area. Im up in the pasco area. I have big plans with my newer G so if you need any help hit me up.
