    mesh grill 97 g

I once asked if anyone had ever put a mesh grill on there 97, but was receiving info on the wrong area of the front end, this is the section i would like to put the mesh grill because there are a few pieces that are missing, I was thinking of painting the grill black. Keep in mind that the color of my car is not purple its actually more of a red (don't know why my camera makes it look that way, maybe cause it sucks majorly) how do you think it would look and can i get it from home depot or something like that instead of ebay thanks in advance

oh and it wouldnt be a chrome mesh grill, it would have the same shape as stock but it would just be chrome.

    MISOBITCHI,

I tried to do it once on my 98 in that area (The "mustache") and I could not figure a way to hold the mesh in well enough. If you take some pliers and squeeze the back of the retainers holding one of the grills in it should pop out. Now look at how it is seated there, really not much to look at. The only thing I could figure is to either cut out the entire section that holds the little grill to the bumper.. or.... take that little grill and cut out the center as much as possible so that you just have basically a frame left. Glue the mesh to that frame and slap it back on the bumper.
I wanted to do this to match my air dam down below but it seemed like too much of a hassle.. maybe you'll have more inginuity than I did.
I can tell you that I have never seen it done well.
