I think thats why I didn't go with regular pins because I know I would forget to pin it. Plus with my aerocatch latches I can see when they aren't down.

I like the pins because they were easy to install and they have that old school hot rod look. Right after the accident I immediately though, it wouldnt have happened if I used the aerocatch pins.

On another note, I figured out the fuel pressure issue. The grommet that you find on top of the fuel pump in the fuel pump hanger had ripped. Ordered that from STM so I just have to wait for it to come in. I also bought an Aeromotive FPR for peace of mind (more like misdiagnosis honestly haha)

I also scheduled a windshield appointment for Wednesday.

Damn bro, so much win going on. Car is looking great, too bad the hood messed up the progress though. I wish I had the balls to just go shopping for turbo parts, but I need a gas saver.

Yeah I know, Just feel terrible. Especially for my painter. He's in love with BabyG. So far it looks like a windshield and hinges. My painter thinks he can fix the hood. If not, I guess Im gonna go ahead and buy that monster on ebay.

Thank you! I get this a lot believe it or not. haha Though, it is only a Lancer. A DE at that! it gets 40 mpg if I am driving normally and I can average 28-30 if I am driving like a lunatic. I drive her slammed all year round and haul about 300 lbs of tools in the trunk along with my 12" sub and box.

I actually bought one of those monster hoods and then canceled my order. I asked the seller if I had to have the hood pins cuz I thought it might look to raced out for what i got under the hood, the guy explains to me the possibility of what happened to you happening... And that was the deal breaker I knew my dumbass would forget sooner or later... wow that sucks... eventually I want to paint the car hematite when I do that I will go for the hood.. hang a reminder in my rearview or something, lol

Arrgh you know I don't know why I didnt catch that lol. I guess for some reason I thought you had a 8g and an evo like Ivory. Thanks for the need correction fellas, lancer looks slightly more compact which should have stood out to me.

I guess I got caught up in the wheels lol

A quick pic from Instagram. I still have to grab the camera from my dad. Got the hood ziptie stitched so I can atleast cover the motor when I drive her. Going to get her tuned next Saturday and will most likely get a Monster hood ordered and painted by MOD.

Drives and idles a wee bit rich, but its nothing a tune wont fix. Also just waiting on a new IAT sensor. Hit 3psi today and she started MOVING!!! I got super excited for saturday to say the least haha.

Way better as I got rid of my entire hood latch assembly, as I can lock my hood closed with my aerocatch. The main benefit to me is I can see when my hood isn't latched because the latch is physically up as I can see it from sitting in the drivers seat

It's so beautiful! Did you cut the grille to make it like a zenki style? I'm actually working on one too for the JDM front lol

Was that prior to the hood getting messed up? Or am I missing something?

Ran into some issues at the tune. Babyg had developed a "knock" during high RPM. Drained the oil and found no metal. My tuner is suspicious of the balance shaft bearings (should've deleted) so he's got her now and is deleting the balance shafts. Once we get her back to healthy we will try and get her on the rollers once again. Slight set back and hopefully we can get her back sooner than later. It's been a battle since the first start up, I'm hoping it's all worth it once it's all said and done.

Thanks. She fights me everytime I have something scheduled. Once she's running 100% I don't think I'm doing much for a while!
