Ok just say the pictures now, that harness is a low beam only harness, there is no high beam function at all, even if you power the solenoids the way our cars are wired the lows will cut off turning off the ballasts but you will have open shutters. The Y adapters are designed to split a 9005 to allow th solenoids to be connected. I can still help make it work you just need to be patient with the process.

If u connect it with just this the lights will turn on, if you do a quick flash the shutters will open, if you switch from lows to highs the shutters will open but the ballasts will turn off.

Let me ask this, is the solenoids what triggers the high and low? Patients I have if you dont want to blow my head off by the time your done explaining this to me lmao.

Solenoids open the internal shutter to allow light to travel up as a high beam.

Shouldn't it be backwards, you go to high beam and everything cuts?

You may have the input wires from the stock galant connector flipped. Best thing to do is disconnect everything from the car, and with a test light find your low and high beam wire, the left over is the ground. Connect to the low and ground, once that has been established connect your solenoid wires to the remaining high beam wire and to the ground. In order for the highs to stay on you will need a diode in between the high beam positive and low beam positive.

Don't even worry im here to help and clarify.

No, the way I have it connected is on the high and if I turn the switch to low it shuts the light out ( no low) hit the switch to high and it comes back on .

I checked my connections with a light tester and they are in correct order.

Could be why I need the h4 harness. Thinking it might be set up for high and low with diodes already established in the harness

For sure you have the input wire on the high. The 9003 harness has internal diodes to mimic the hardwire way.

Lights stay on low and can hear the shutter only work on quick flicks. Go to turn the high on and out she goes..

I do appreciate your time bro.. We have to meet up being we dont live to from each other.

So close yet so far away, at least a few hours.

So on quick flicks you get high beam output right?

If so all u need is a diode to bridge the low and high beam power wires on the stock connector and done!

That's a standard single beam harness for 9005, 9006, H1, H7 etc applications. That won't work. It will power your ballasts fine when in low beam mode, but once you hit the high beams, the bulb will shut off.

You need the MotoControl H4/9003 harness, which has a dual pin input for the stock H4 plug, and it also has solenoid connectors hanging off the ends where the ballast plugs are.
