Another package yesterday. A reminder of how much building a custom turbo setup can add up in price very fast.

Also, I now have my tires from my old wheels on the MB's, and it's time to offload the Rotas.

A little shipment from Frozen Boost showed up on Friday.

And after today's 10-hours road trip, I have a JDM rear bumper with extensions as well as new-style side skirts. Picked up a hitch for the Endeavor while traveling as well.

I did. Between these parts and the 5-speed swap, his parts will live on in good hands.

Does the JDM rear bumper stick farther down from the car than the factory US one? Or is the only difference those slats that are cut out of it? It will look great on the car!

It doesnt pop out as much, you could literally use the usdm as a step to climb on to the roof of the car, not so much with the jdm.

Here's an example of the differences:

The USDM bumper sticks out further and doesn't have a very defined lower section where the slots are.

The JDM VR-4 bumper does not stick out as far and the lower edge of it flares out further to make the lip more noticeable.

Today's arrival. Now to install it in order to build the turbo kit around it. The choice in the Mishimoto will allow proper clearance for my turbo placement.

how hot is hot? I haven't had a problem yet, i think 225 was the hottest it got, my oil temp was a little hotter I think 235... Thats driving hard. I have a 160 or 150 thermostat though so that might help.

Where did you get the cooler at Matt?

Is it possible to swap in the MIVEC version of the 6g75?

  19. #1039
Jared, I haven't purchased one yet. I only have one on my items to purchase list while I decide on one.

Sexy8g, yes the mivec engine fits. You'll just need to make an adapter to fit the distributor and modify the coolant crossover housing.
