Looks like the 3 in vegas don't have machine shops lol. Just my luck. I did find a different place though and emailed them so I should know tomorrow.

Parts wise all I need is the Exedy mbk1000 clutch kit and a mount, but the transmission on the other hand... that's gonna take awhile to get some funds for lol.

Run a google search for machine shops in Vegas, there should be plenty.

You can get the flywheel resurfaced or you can get a brand new light weight flywheel, Clutch Masters makes a light weight flywheel for the 3G 4cylinder

Well, the shifter base, cables, and OEM release bearing arrived today, so as soon as I save up enough for the actual tranny and a clutch I should be all set. Too bad it's gonna take me a couple months to save up . Other than that I just need to get the bolts from the dealer and I'm good to go.

bolts from the dealer are pricey, plus what bolts do you need? I reused all the bolts that came on the car with my swap.

If you need ANY bolts or parts you can go to the junkyard and get them or if you don't have access to a junkyard then post up on here what you need and maybe a nice member will get the bolt for you.

I think he might be referring to the flywheel bolts.

You should be able to reuse the flexplate bolts if you have an oem flywheel with the thin flange.

Yeah I was talking about the flywheel bolts, but if Black8GV6 re-used the flexplate bolts, then maybe I don't need to get them.

I got some 3g bolts, didn't think the stock 8g stocks would have worked. But mine is an 2002 so im thinking that yours are different and would probably work.

What year is your G? Mine's '99 so I'm curious as to whether this would work or not.

Mine is a 2001, I saw in a thread a part number for the bolts to use and I tried them and they didn't work, so I tried the flexplate bolts and they worked fine. I have a V6 so the 4cyl might be different

I can tell you that on my V6 the bolts would hold the flywheel up, but not with enough threads to effectively hold it when any torque was applied.

McMaster Carr should have any bolt you need to get it done shipped right to your door. If I remember they are M10 x 1.0 threads. Go check to make sure. You need grade 10.9 or higher.

^hmmm, I torqued them to spec with permatex red threadlocker, I beat the shit out of it daily, going 10,xxx miles strong since the swap, I have the Fidanza flywheel so maybe it's thinner so I had more threads for the bolt? I can't remember.

My 4cylinder needed 2g GST flywheel bolts because the aftermarket replacement flywheel flange was thicker than an oem one. My V6 has a really thin flange and it has a two-piece flywheel. I used thread locker blue and torqued it to 60 ft lbs (fsm calls for 55ft.lbs.). my experience with red is most of the time you end up having to heat the bolt before the thread locker let's go.
