My friend's keypad door lock now accepts anything you throw at it
A few years ago Fords were easy to break into
Using half a tennis ball over the lock hit the ball and the suction caused made the lock pop open
My friend's keypad door lock now accepts anything you throw at it

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(WannaGTZ)</div><div class='quotemain'>Why is it so important to know this?</div>
the guy still hasnt the question.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ASTIG)</div><div class='quotemain'>but there is such a procedure. Â*its called the "Immobilizer Override Procedure". Â*It comes comes in a card the size of 2 business cards. Â*My montero which has the immobilizer came with it. Â*I dont remember such a card with the galant though. Â*I'm gonna have to go to the dealer and ask about that. Â*
Like I said, I wont discuss the procedure online, but here's the core of the procedure. There is a 4-digit code that must be entered by tapping the brake pedal. Â* when its successfull, you can sart the car up to 2 times.
THIS IS TRUE!!!!!!!!!!
btw, you have to get the code from the dealer.</div>
I was gonna mention this when you wrote your joke post Astig. Yes, it IS true about the override code. I got the card with my 2000 Galant.

i didnt get tha with my 99. im calling the dealer right now.
edit-- i just called the schaumburg mitsu dealer, and they told me there is no reference card for it. he did acknowledge the procedure, but said the cards dont come with the car. hey astig, where did you buy your montero?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(MITSU_I4)</div><div class='quotemain'>i didnt get tha with my 99. Â*im calling the dealer right now.</div> I don't think the 99's have the chip in the key. I believe that started with the 2000 models and up. We recently had a post about buying extra keys and that came up.

OH. that would explain it. man it sucks to have bought the car the very first year. its like buying a car with no radio!!
my car wont start unless i jump it
three alternators two batteries
is there an engine code i have to put in
ecu messed up
one alternator ran good for about five minutes; then nothing
now all lights are dim after starting(dash;headlights; dome)
every now and then lights brighten
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(pinoyesv6)</div><div class='quotemain'>remember that the 99's didn't have a chip so it kinda makes em a lil bit easier to steal in many cases. remember the 99's are the ones with the lap belt in the middle back seat, not the shoulder type</div>
Ah dammit, its like one day I hear something good about my 99 (no traction control), and then the next I hear something bad again (fuel cut off), and again something good, and now this.
