What can I say? eBay has always been addictive and I just got caught up in the moment....
Members in the midwest (IA,NE,SD,etc) are are welcome to see it installed in 3-4 weeks!

congrats...cant wait 2 see the numbers
Congratulations, BlankMan. Looks like a sweet deal. Ok, here's my thing. Does anyone have some REALLY good pics of the SDS installed on their G? I'm still trying to figure out if I want to do this, and I'm not sure on a few things. This thing is still belt driven, right? Just has it's own drive shaft to run it? The cost of the SDS is roughly half that of having a custom turbo set up, but I really wanted the turbo for the sound. Yeah I know, that's real cheesy, but I'm like that. So what does SDS sound like? I heard a Vortech on a Mustang and it sounded like a bad AC compressor. Any comments would be appreciated...
grrrr...another supercharger on an I-4. What have I told you guys? lol jk man, hope you have fun with it.
i think the RIPP sds systesms look real nice. I saw one installed on a 3g eclipse and it looke pretty nice...
7g for life!
For you guys who posted the congrats - thanks! I can't think straight, I'm so exicted!
Hopefully - if I don't get too excited and work throuhg it all to fast - I plan to take my time with the install so I can document it for others including photo's. Don't hold me to that, though, it's just my plan now. When I get the SDS, giddiness may make me forget <G>

heh...i was just coming back to delete my last post and it was gone...thanks.
Just remember to take it nice and slow. If you rush things, you will be regretting it a few weeks, or days, or even hours down the road, so make sure you do everything meticulously and carefully.

The SDS is safe as shit you can run the fuck outta that thing
without doing any internals.
or tranny work

Ya thats what i heard from the guy at Rippmods, i forget his name, but he said this thing can be ran pretty hard with little to no modification to the internals or tranny unless you plan on running very high amounts of boost. Plus, unlike a turbo, you get instant power once you hit the gas!
And depending on some superchargers the parasitic loss is barely there. Example is the Eaton supercharger, it only loses 1/3 of a horsepower at about 2k RPM. I like superchargers for their ease of use and I love the whine more than a turbo whine
"Daisy tumbled short of his dreams, not through her own fault, but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion... No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart. " - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
"I have not failed 700 times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those 700 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work." - Thomas Edison

Ya, i agree, i drove my friends 3000gt, he put an aftermarket turbo on it, and its an SL i believe so its automatic. Anyways, the car is slow until the turbo gets going. I know one of you is probably saying, "ohh but thats because he has an auto" but alas, he got a tourqe convertor upgrade so he has even more tourqe. The funny thing is, he raced a 4 banger focus with a supercharger, and it ate him up...lol...it was actually kinda funny. This was like 2 months ago at the track. But i prefer a supercharger over a turbo anyday for daily driving, and turbo for strictly racing.
i can't delete this post, so i'm just gonna make it say nothing.
Sweet. I cant wait to add a SDS to my V6

It's amazing how a thread about something kewl, and a members good fortune can turn into something so un-kewl. This is sad.
