Here in California it's a $10 fix-it ticket, not a tint ticket; no such thing. What happens when you get busted, he'll give you a fix-it ticket and then later you have to scrape off the tint (from the front 2 windows only - California) and then go to the nearest Police, Sheriff or CHP station (depending on who gave you the ticket) and show proof that you fixed the problem you were cited for, in this case, the tint on the front windows. (the rear windows can be as low as 5% - limo tint - in Cali) After the cop approves, you pay the $10 fine at the station.
This goes the same for the missing front license plate, LED washer lights, red license plate bulbs, neon, car sitting too low, tires sticking too far out, speakers too loud, etc. etc. etc. Been there, tired of paying for that (shit).
