    The 3000GT will have a taller head. This is similar to the 3.5L Diamante and the 3.0L 8G and 3GEclipses.

    Mitsubishi is pretty easy to break down.

    First digit is cylinders

    then a G for some reason

    then
    12 = 2.0 litre
    13 = 2.5 litre
    36 = 2.0 litre
    54 = 2.6 litre
    61 = 1.6 litre
    62 = 1.85 litre
    63 = 2.0 litre
    64 = 2.4 litre
    72 = 3.0 litre
    73 = 2.5 litre
    74 = 3.5 litre
    91 = 1.5 litre
    92 = 1.6 litre
    93 = 1.8 litre

    so the 8g galant V6 is 6G72... 6cyl, 3 liter
    and those famous 4G63 on the eclipes.. 4cyl, 2 liter

    Stands for Engine Family (Or Series)

    Oh and the 6A13TT has a DOHC MiVEC head which has Variable Valve timing and the 6G72TT is DOHC but it does NOT have a MiVEC head.

    8g galant vr-4 isn't 3 liter... it's 2.5 V6...

    and

    your engine model numbers wont match in that list...

    ex. G12 isn't 2.0 litre... it's 1.4
    etc etc....

    Here we have no 3.0 V6 galants...
    2.5 V6 is the only V6 galant around..
