Cabin noise driving me mad!
Hi!
I own a '98 Galant 2.0 Gls. Recently, I tried out a V6 and I wished I hadn't. I was amazed by it's better handling and the low-level of internal cabin noise compared to my 2.0. The acceleration felt no different though.
As a result of my V6 experience, I now notice the 'loud' engine noise and the road noise from my galant, and it is actually driving me mad.
Any suggestions to reduce the cabin noise of my galant?
Are softer tyres the answer? I currently have goodyear venturas...
Am I the only one who has experienced this?

Certainly tyres do differ considerably - I had Pirelli P5000's on my VR4 when I bought it and they were very noisey - now have Goodyear Eagle F1's and much better

ive got a R-plate 2.0 gls its got 17z with 45 profile's and it's lowerd and i don't have any road noise .i'd try the tyre's also..

Same here....tyres make the world of difference to inside cabin noise...
Since getting the new wheels on my 7G, I have a lot of road noise from inside the cabin - pretty annoying but I can't do much about it until it comes time to get new tyres....

Gents, thanks for your opinions. I'll let you know if I find a difference when I get and decide on the tyres.
