is it possible to cut the screens it has on it to get better air flow..i know it can be very costly if i mess up

i honestly wouldnt mess with anythign in there since its soo damn expensive to replace, but if u can get a hold of one, have fun

If your talking about the aluminum honeycombs in the face of the mas,
you dont cut them, you pull them out. Grab a piece with thin needle nose pliers and pull, they slip right out.

BUT, do not remove the center square one or your car wont run. The honeycombs are there for a reason, they straightin the airflow for the sensor to read. The two side ones you can remove but you may have to richen things up at idle with the AFC to idle correctly.

Dont misplace the honeycombs you remove, and keep them in a place they wont get squashed becuase you most likely will be putting them back one day =D and its not a part you can buy.
