damn dude....it looks good. Time to ditch my coils and get some eibachs.
well, after about 3 days of the car in the garage and me running into a shitload of rediculously stupid problems and a few cuts and bruises, i removed the Coilovers and replace them with the Eibach Pro Kit. You can notice ride height differences with the follow pictures, although about a week later the springs have definatly settled a bit more and the car is about 0.5" lower all around. Once you get the wheels off and really look around, suspension is a pretty simple thing, it's crazy how easy it really is to change out. Thanks to Seth's tutorial and him putting up with my annoying ass questions.
Pics total 1.9 megs. sowwee  I have so many cause seth's tutorial asks for them and for future reference for anyone who wants to do it.

This is with Eibach's on the back, and coils still on the front:

Ride Quality:
Feels like I'm in my dad's AMG on the highway, and feels just as sharp as the coilovers did on the twisties in the mountains and on those sharp highway onramps. These things are the shit. I can't express how kick ass they are over coils. All the advantages of coils and stock suspension, and none of hte disadvantages of either.
Post any comments/questions below, thanks.

How much did the cost? where did you get them? And how long was the install? (I prolly would not install springs myself due to the fact i dont have any tools or a garage).
DAMN I cannot believe you lasted this long on those POS coilovers!
The back only looks higher, the front still looks pretty low. Looks really good peano, and you gained some serious comfort from it too!
I loved my Eibachs...
damn matt. that looks toight! good job on the install.
Not bad. I still like the lower drop the H&Rs and Eibach sport lines give

got the springs for $240 from Hop Up racing, based out of San Diego, picked up the springs in LA, talked to Steve, really cool guy to do business with. http://www.hopupracing.com/eiprec20.html
install would take about 3 hours if the spring compressors worked AND fit into the wheel well while still onto the spring. took me about 12 hours due to bullshit problems, i didn't mind though, love working on that car. the shop that i WAS gonna do it at quoted me at 3 hours for install.
Why would you need the spring compressor on the spring while in the wheel well?
Coulda got em for $219 from DNARacing.net

do you guys know if eibach lowering springs for eclipse would fit? and do you know any good similar lowering spring kits?
I wouldnt suggest that! Just get the ones that fit the G. I have coils for an eclipse and the ride is bouncy as hell. The reason being, the G weighs less than the eclipse, thus the car does not have enough force to push the springs down, thus you get an extremely bouncy ride! Just go with whatever they have for the G...that is my suggestion. Oh and I do plan on ditching the coils and going eibach as well!
"Why fart and waste it when you can burp and taste it!"
Eh coils are bouncy nonethe less. Springs wouldnt really matter. If you buy springs for the 2g GST it only weighs 100lbs(or less) more than us. You will be fine.
